yesterday afternoon, had the highly anticipated english presentation!
the event which can either break or make our dreams.

our group was the last group of the day.
whoop de doo. *sarcastic*
i shall not blog about the other groups because i seriously have no idea what happened during their turns.
i. was. too. nervous.
seriously, it was nerve wrecking for even the most composed during such times-me.
evonne, vanessa, sijia and especially fionn were nervous.
we flipped through our cue cards and tried to remember what we had to say.
yeah, it was nerve wrecking once again.
but amazingly, we could still crack jokes among ourselves about everything.
like the way TM square liked to rest her ample bosom on the table.
that was a hoot.
evonne noticed first and she told vanessa, then she told us and we were laughing like hyenas.
i also joked about the jacket that we were about to wear, like what if we couldnt zip it down in time, or what if the zip got stuck?
haha. hoo yeah.
happy times. until it was finally our turn.

i admit we screwed up quite alot.
fionn was to introduce us and when she got to vanessa's name, she suddenly had temporary amnesia and couldnt remember her name, she then stood there pointing to vanessa making "errmm ermm" sounds.
hilarious.
and during my big poem stanza recital,
the last line of the poem flew out of my head.
i panicked, yeah, bet you are going to tell me
"but jaclyn, panicking isnt the way..."
yeah yeah.
i then planned to quickly revert my eyes in the direction of my cue card
but i once again demonstrated what a complete prat i am and my brain sent the wrong signal to my hands, causing it to swiftly swing up, bringing the cue card to my face,
and i almost smacked myself right in front of the examiners.
hoo yeah, i could just see twin peak TM square stifling a laugh.
after the big poem screw up, vanessa also had her share of the omnipresent metal device.
one of her lines was supposed to go like this, "and this is a bunker in a tree."
but.
she said, "and this is a tree in a bunker."
but i dont think anybody noticed it.

i also almost fluked.
once again...
i was supposed to be acting as mrs yeo in our little interview skit.
and as i rushed to put on my sunglasses, i poked myself in the eye with one of the frames.
sheesh.
and as a result, i entered a little later than the supposed timing.
damn.
but we wrapped it up nicely and the examiners looked pleased at all the hard work we have done.
at least, only TM square looked pleased.
mrs tey looked like as if she would rather be anywhere than there
and she gave us her "crazy, eye poking aunties...what next?" look.
hoo hoo hoo.
the future looks bleak for me.
will any available jc accept name card slinging, straw hat toting aunties?
